Find Elusive Football Draws

Well, in the British league season, most teams play close to ‘form’, but Cup matches are more of a lottery when ‘giant killing’ happens fairly frequently, and are best avoided if you are serious about winning the football pools. So, to start, we only bet when the odds are optimal, and that means league games. In fact, we don’t bet when ‘form’ is likely to be compromised – e.g. on Boxing Day.

With a good football draw forecast system, you will be able to keep track of form and eliminate those matches which are certain home wins – there could be typically 22 home wins, many of which will have been easy to predict. As to away wins, these are harder to predict, and there will be, on average, 13-14 away wins on the coupon each week.

So, let’s say that we can predict 90% of the home wins – … Read the rest

Soccer Drills for Kids

  • Follow the Leader: I like this soccer drills for kids because they learn to control the ball while moving side to side and reversing their field. Start this drill by pairing up the players. One player has a ball the other does not. With the player without the ball being the leader, have him start jogging slowly forward then zigzag to the right then left then in a circle. Use different variations of this drill, have the non-ball carrier stop and take a step back to teach the pull back move. Rotate players every few minutes.
  • Capture the flag: This is another soccer drills for kids that will teach ball handling skills. Make a large 20 foot circle, every player inside the circle with a ball. Every player has a flag hanging from their waist. All the players dribble the ball around the inside of the circle. While controlling the

Brazil Soccer Team

  • Inspiration from the greatest – All young sports players idolize their heroes in their favorite sport, and the Brazilian soccer team is no different. Whenever you have wonderful sports stars, the game will flourish and young players will need to be like their heroes. All through history, there have been some remarkable Brazil soccer players that the younger generations have wanted to be like. With incredible players like Pele, Ronaldo, Kaka and Roberto Carlos to support, there are a lot of great influences.
  • Soccer is a passion for the men and women – From a very young age soccer is a big part of the Brazilian life, where the children play it in the streets and on the beach, and the older generations watch and cheer. The soccer team is part of everyone’s world, and in Brazil soccer is practically a second religion. Each young boy will have their own

Offside Offence

It must be noted here that being in an offside position is not considered an offence though such an occurrence is called offside offence and the player is referred to as offender. After a player is spotted in an offside position, the linesman shows the flag and the play is stopped by the match referee. An indirect free-kick is awarded to the defending side from the spot of the player in the offside position. In no way, offside offence is considered misconduct or a foul. The offending player is not sent off the ground nor even booked. Any play like scoring a goal occurring after an offence but before the game is stopped by the referee is annulled.

If the players continue such play, they may be warned and even booked as per the referee’s decision based on importance of the play or if it was intentional. The assisting referees … Read the rest

Game Day Soccer Coaching

Choosing a starting team

When it comes to choosing a starting team, many coaches choose based on each player’s performance the previous week. Try not to do this. Rather, focus on how well each team member did in practice that week. In addition, you may also want to consider other variables such as attendance, effort, and attitude.

If you choose a starting team and notice that any of your beginning players are lacking in warm-up, feel free to change things up. You want to ensure that all players are ready to play and are focused on doing their best before you put them in, so never be afraid to change your starting line-up last minute if you need to.

Make adjustments

When it comes to team games, you never know how well your team (or any individual player) will perform on a given week. In addition, you may not be … Read the rest

Passing, Dribbling, and Delivery

You will need to set up a playing area that is inbounds. Every player on the team is given a soccer ball except for one. The player without the ball is “it”. Players are instructed to practice dribbling their balls around the inbounds area. They can go in any direction as long as they are in the designated playing area. They are instructed never to touch the ball with their hands but to dribble around, establish space for themselves and practice turning and going in different directions controlling the ball with their feet. The added challenge is that the player who is ” it” tries to freeze each player by touching the soccer ball. (touching, not kicking the ball away) The player whose ball is touched is then frozen. The frozen player has to immediately pick their ball up and hold it above their head and spread their legs apart

Essentials Of Street Soccer Games

Now, how do we start with this? First and foremost, you need to get everything you need ready. For your ball, you can have the regular one used in football or soccer games. If you lack one, you can utilize anything that is comparable in features and functions. Just do not choose a hard object that can hurt or break your bones. As for the playing field, spot a place that is straight and has relatively even surface. Typically, participants of street soccer games choose a lot that is off the residential areas to avoid breaking house windows and the like. Garbage cans, bags, shoe or what have you may serve as your goals. The good thing about this activity is that it does not require two teams with exact number of players. You can choose to play it one-on-one where you and your opponent can simply switch positions depending

Subjectivity of Soccer Timekeeping

Don’t get me wrong, soccer need not change one iota and it will still remain the most popular sport in the world. I’m just saying that when people ask why it isn’t more popular here, there are some minor cultural differences that need to be overcome.

I have often wondered about the timekeeping of a soccer match. In North America, sports that have a time element, such as football, hockey, and basketball display for all to see a large and precise clock that in many cases is broken down to tenths of a second. This scoreboard clock may not be the official time, as that is usually kept by an official timekeeper who is a member of the officiating crew, but it always reflects the official time remaining even if it has to be adjusted. There can be very little doubt about how much time is left and, with very … Read the rest
